As Peoples Ford celebrate their 40th year in business and Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their first competitive performance, both are delighted to announce a new two-year sponsorship agreement. You can watch the re-launch video here:
This new partnership solidifies the status of the band as one of Peoples Ford’s key community relationships and leads to a new era of collaboration between both organisations, including enhanced digital, social media & video content.
This formal partnership, now in its 10th year, will enable one of the world’s finest pipe bands to further build on their success and as in previous years, will cover the Grade 1 and Novice band sections.
Band President, Grant Walker, reflected on the renewal of the sponsorship agreement stating “by extending our sponsorship agreement to cover the next two years, it allows the band the means to invest in top quality assets, play attractive music, connect with our audience, and present both our organisation and Peoples Ford in a positive manner on the competition field and beyond. Our long-term vision and proven track record of harnessing the power, passion and enthusiasm that comes from our youth development programme has been amply demonstrated by the recent promotion of Kerr McQuillan to Leading Drummer of our Grade One band and with complete oversight of all percussion matters. The ease of this transition and the renewal process that comes with new leadership has been greatly assisted by the consistent and welcome financial support afforded to us by Peoples Ford & we’re all looking forward to a successful year as a consequence”.
On the announcement, Pipe Major Ross Harvey said, “The band are delighted to be able to continue to carry the Peoples Ford name through this extended partnership agreement. The support they give us is invaluable to our survival and success – we literally couldn’t be without Peoples Ford. This has never been truer than in the current climate. In the first competition season under our new Leading Drummer Kerr McQuillan, this show of support from Peoples Ford for his appointment is overwhelming.”
