Friday 6th June, 6PM – Official Release
Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band is delighted to formally launch Cabar Fèidh, the much-anticipated recording of our 2024 Pre-Worlds concert, is now available to the general public - BUY HERE.
In an age where amateur recordings are instantly accessible, the release of a professionally produced pipe band album is a rarity—and an occasion worth celebrating. Cabar Fèidh marks a bold creative milestone for our band and captures an unforgettable night of music and storytelling, blending tradition and innovation in equal measure.
The album is available to purchase in three formats via the band’s official website:
Digital Download – £12
CD – £15
Limited Edition Vinyl – £30
The concert was our first major production under the new leadership of Pipe-Major Calum Watson and Leading-Drummer Kerr McQuillan. Calum & Kerr have spoken candidly about the intense work that went into crafting this release—from artistic direction to the many technical challenges involved in live recording.
“It felt more like a show than a concert,” added Kerr. “We were telling the story of our band—where we’ve been, where we’re going. It wasn’t just a series of sets. It was a journey.”

While Cabar Fèidh looks forward with ambitious new arrangements and collaborations, it also pays tribute to the legacy of those who shaped our band, including former Pipe-Major Ross
Harvey and Leading-Drummer Gordon Brown.
“We wanted to make sure there was a healthy mix of old and new,” Calum shared. “There are moments that nod to the past—favourites like ‘The Big Road Brusher’—but also brand new compositions and formats that push the envelope.”

Producing a commercial-grade pipe band album today is no small feat. From studio hours to post-production editing, the band has invested significant time and resources to ensure the final result meets the highest standards.
“We’ve poured years of work into this project,” said Kerr. “Not everyone was able to experience the concert live, so to be able to share it now with fans and supporters all over the world is incredibly special to us.”
Looking Ahead
With Cabar Fèidh due to be released imminently, the band has returned its focus to the competitive season ahead.
“It’s been a busy winter,” said Calum. “But we’re feeling strong as a band, and we’re excited for what lies ahead. The leadership transition has been smooth, and we’re all hungry to get out and perform.”

Whether you were in the audience at last year’s Pre-Worlds or are hearing it for the first time, Cabar Fèidh offers a powerful, heartfelt snapshot of where Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia has come from—and where we’re going next.
