Appointment of Bradley Parker as Pipe Sergeant

The band are thrilled to announce the appointment of Bradley Parker as the Pipe Sergeant of Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia.

Bradley (29) from Portavogie, Northern Ireland, was a member of Field Marshal

Montgomery Pipe Band from 2014 – 2020, winning 3x World Championships amongst

various other Major Championships. Bradley is currently head of the Piping & Drumming programme at the High School of Glasgow.

On the appointment, Pipe Major Calum Watson said:

“I’m delighted Bradley has accepted the Pipe Sergeant’s role. His skills and experience will complement the existing leadership team within the band and I’m confident this will stand us in good stead as we prepare for the 2026 season.”

Bradley added:

“I am extremely thrilled & humbled to take on the role of Pipe Sergeant for Peoples Ford

Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia. I look forward to working with Calum & Kerr [McQuillan] in what is an exciting new era for the band.”

We’d also like to wish Iain Simpson a happy retirement and thank him for his service to the band over the years. In particular, for the support he has given to Calum Watson from his first chanter lesson right through to his first year as a Grade 1 Pipe Major.

We’re now looking forward to preparing for the 2026 season under the new piping leadership.
