Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of our friends.

We enjoyed an incredible 2019 as an organisation. The Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Grade 1 band placed in the top 6 in every major, and secured a 2nd place at the European Championships as both a band and drum corps. Away from the competition field, they completed a hugely enjoyable trip to Festival de Ortigueira look forward to returning in 2020.

Our young bands continue to hold their own, often as the only voluntary organisation competing in grades otherwise populated exclusively by professional school organisations. The Juveniles has a solid season, finishing 4th in the Champion of Champions table as a band and drum corps.

Throughout our corps, we have a wealth of talented and dedicated soloists. A few highlights included:

🏆 Kerr McQuillan winning at Winter Storm in January and the World Solo Drumming Section 4

🏆 Numerous successes at the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia, Rspba L&B Branch and Kingdom Thistle championships

🏆 Prizes at the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting for Angus MacPhee, Calum Watson and Jonathon Simpson

And, to cap it all off, the year concluded with our inspirational drumming tutor, Tom Brown, announced as an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours for his decades of dedication and hard work.

We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for our organisation, beginning with our Celtic Connections concert on 25th January. Tickets are available here:
