Edinburgh Championships, Linlithgow Gala Day

Our Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia organisation had another busy weekend, with a combined band performing at Linlithgow Gala Day on Saturday, before Sunday’s Edinburgh Pipe Band Championships where all 4 bands put on sterling performances.

Particular congratulations are due to our Grade 1 and Novice Juvenile A bands who both won their respective grades, with the Grade 1 band once again winning the drum corps prize donated in memory of our late, great friend and snare drummer Neil Cranston. Our Novice Juvenile B and Juvenile bands both finished in 3rd place with impressive 2nd places from the piping judges.

Thank you to all our members and supporters who have devoted their days to entertain at our local towns’ events - especially those who completed the Linlithgow double of Linlithgow Marches on Tuesday and Gala Day on Saturday. They’ve marched over 20,000 steps on Linlithgow High Street alone!
