Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Grade 1 were delighted to perform strongly and finish in the prize list in the UK Championships on Saturday. Despite terrible playing conditions early in the playing order, the band’s Centenary Jewel medley earned them 5th place as a band and, like Paisley 4 weeks prior, a top 3 for piping.
Our Novice Juvenile A and a depleted Juvenile band also acquitted themselves well as the only voluntary organisation in grades full of school bands. The NJA can be very proud of finishing in 3rd place as a band and drum corps in NJA, and the Juvs’ 4th for drumming is testament to the improvement this corps is making.
